Nah. Reading wouldn't be a problem at all--I have years of experience reading on gym equipment. Typing would only be a problem if you were, say, running...but I think the idea of the treadmill desk is that you just walk really slowly, all day long: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/18/health/nutrition/18fitness.html
Huh. There you go. And I guess if you're walking slowly, it could probably work with typing and things.
Just in the past few days we did some rearranging in the office and just this morning were noting what an expansive area I have now and how it could be a good time for a desk upgrade. Maybe I'll add a treadmill to the plan.
I just finally did it myself. Was thinking that I'm doing way too much sitting at work. So I've got my laptop on my portable plastic filing cabinet and my external monitor sitting on my microscope case.
Everything's the perfect height. Feels great. I should've been doing this for years. It's definitely my new thing when I'm at work at my computer, for sure!
I wish. Though, what I really want is a treadmill desk....
ReplyDeleteNever heard of it until just now. A bit strange. Wouldn't it be hard to type and stuff? And read?

Look who just made herself a standing desk!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! There's a good bit of ingenuity.
